There are enough Catholic Churches in the South Bay - five in Santa Clara alone, plus SCU and the diocesan office. You can also read the Catechism of the Catholic Church which spells out in exhaustive detail what Catholics believe. And for the record, we don't light candles to forgive sins. We light candles as a symbol of our prayers rising to God "as the incense," a reference you can find repeated several places in the Bible. As someone once said: "...first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
